responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain: Develop the services and partner integrations that power reliable USD and CAD money movement.
• Feature ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of specific features and components, from understanding the problem through delivery, rollout, and long-term operation.
• Quality delivery: Write maintainable, well-tested code while ensuring predictable delivery and effective observability.
• Team contribution: Participate actively in code reviews, share technical knowledge, and collaborate closely with your peers to reduce knowledge silos.
• Product alignment: Apply a strong product mindset to connect your daily engineering tasks to customer outcomes, payout speed, and system quality.

qualifications:
Requirements

Core stack: Solid experience building backend systems with Java or Kotlin, Spring Boot, microservices, relational databases, and well-designed APIs.

System knowledge: A working understanding of distributed systems principles, including asynchronous processing, data consistency, and failure recovery.

Working style: A self-starting and collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently on defined features and ask the right questions when blocked.

Communication: Clear communication skills, with the ability to discuss technical concepts effectively with team members and cross-functional partners.

Bonus skills: Experience with Kafka, event-driven architecture, or cloud infrastructure is highly valued, though not strictly required.
