Auto Claims Manager
- Leads their team to achieve goals and objectives by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
- Manage employee work schedules including assignments, training, vacations and paid time off, overtime and ensuring coverage for absenteeism.
- Contributes to the creation of strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information; identifying and evaluating trends and options; choosing a course of action; defining objectives; evaluating outcomes.
- Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending process improvements.
- Appropriately communicates information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and appropriate email, IM, and regular interpersonal communication.
- Develops critical skillsets of their team as well as assisting their team with career development goals.
- Handles escalations, DOI complaints and claims with attorney representation.
- Contributes to business goals, performance metrics, and effectively uses tools & technology.
- Supports workload surges and/or catastrophe operations as needed to include working significant overtime during designated catastrophe events.
- Partners with internal resources to facilitate claims resolution. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of auto claims experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Must be a team-oriented individual to work with clients, other team members, and internal partners.
- Availability to work after hours and on the weekend as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Current TX adjuster license or ability to obtain TX adjuster license (paid by Allcat).
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and easily acclimates to changes in process/systems for overall improvement of the organization.
- Ability to learn new technologies.
- Prior experience leading claims professionals.
- 5+ years auto claims experience to include auto inspections/estimating and resolving.
- Working knowledge of Total Loss valuation software.
- 2-3 years auto claims management experience.
- Bachelors degree
- 1 year of Facilitation/Training experience
- Prior customer service experience.
