Within NEI, our Data Center Infrastructure Solutions team is transforming how data centers are built-delivering modular, scalable solutions that accelerate deployment, reduce risk, and support the rapid growth of AI and cloud technologies.

SLB New Energy & Industrial is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the design and delivery of modular data center infrastructure. This role focuses on electrical systems design and power distribution, supporting projects from concept through manufacturing and commissioning.

This is a hands-on engineering role ideal for candidates with 5-15 years of experience in electrical design and a strong interest in large-scale infrastructure or data centers.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Develop and review electrical designs, drawings, and documentation for data center modules
  • Design and support power distribution systems , including switchgear, transformers, and cable tray layouts
  • Prepare key engineering deliverables such as single-line diagrams, load lists, and cable sizing
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure designs meet project and code requirements
  • Review vendor drawings and technical submittals (experience is a strong plus)
  • Support preparation of technical requisitions and equipment specifications
  • Assist with material take-offs (MTOs) and bills of materials (BOMs)
  • Partner with manufacturing teams to support build and resolve design issues
  • Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of products
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US without sponsorship.

Qualifications And Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • 5-15 years of electrical design experience
  • Strong experience with:
    • Switchgear, transformers, and cable tray design/layout
    • Electrical system design and documentation
  • Solid Experience with power distribution systems (panels, UPS systems a plus)
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IEC, etc.)
  • Experience with CAD or 3D modeling tools (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar)
  • Experience reviewing or working with vendor drawings/submittals preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US without sponsorship

Nice to Have
  • Data center, industrial, or mission-critical facility experience
  • Experience in modular or prefabricated systems
  • EIT or PE certification (not required)
