About Reyes Blum PLLC : Established immigration law firm in Southwest Houston is seeking a Bilingual Legal Assistant to join our team. For over 40 years, our firm has helped immigrants with removal defense and family-based immigration law. We are growing and looking to add a passionate and dedicated Bilingual Legal Assistant to our team who will help us serve our clients. Ability to speak English and Spanish with one year of experience is required for this position.

Responsibilities:

● Detainees

● I-589, (Affirmative and Defensive)

● E-42B, E-42A (Cancellation of Removal)

● I-485 (AOS)

● I-765, DACA, TPS

Requirements:

● Detail-oriented, with excellent writing skills

● Able to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with competing demands

● Able to manage a large caseload, effectively prioritizing deadlines

● Able to keep cases organized by establishing and managing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; and inputting information into case management software

● Prepare and forward reports to the office manager

● Assist and support attorneys in handling cases

● Ensure that case files, paperwork, reporting requirements, applications, documentation, and other provided services follow legal and ethical requirements, and office procedures

● Strong communication skills

● Willing to learn, have a positive attitude, and ready to work

● Computer literate skills required: Google, Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.

● Monday to Friday from 9am - 5:30pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
