We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Corporate Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this Contract-to-permanent position , you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, maintaining compliance with industry standards, and providing insights to drive business decisions. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in accounting within industries such as manufacturing, mining, or construction and possess a strong understanding of cost accounting and financial analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed financial reports and statements to ensure accuracy and provide valuable insights for stakeholders.

• Manage and analyze cost accounting processes, including production costs, inventory evaluations, and variances to improve profitability.

• Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts, ensuring financial goals align with organizational objectives.

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger closing activities to maintain financial accuracy.

• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.

• Conduct in-depth financial analyses to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction.

• Reconcile accounts regularly, ensuring all financial data aligns with company records.

• Strengthen internal controls to mitigate risks and safeguard company assets.

• Collaborate with departments such as operations and procurement to integrate financial strategies with business goals.

• Utilize and optimize financial systems, including NetSuite and Concur, for reporting and operational efficiency.

• At least 7 years of accounting experience, with 2-3 years in the manufacturing, mining, or oil and gas industries.

• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and industry-specific practices.

• Proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey financial insights to various stakeholders.

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or similar certifications preferred.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with NetSuite or similar financial systems.

• Familiarity with month-end close processes, journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger management.
