Job Title: Director, PMO
Location: Austin, TX - must be local and able to be onsite 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs)
Duration: 6 month contract-to-hire
Compensation: $70-90/HR
Work schedule: Monday-Friday (8 AM-5PM CST) - onsite 4x per week
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision and 401(k).
About the Role
The Director, PMO leads the successful execution of enterprise technology initiatives that support our company’s strategic roadmap. In this role, you’ll oversee multiple technology projects end‑to‑end, guide and develop a high‑performing delivery team, and collaborate closely with business leaders, the PMO, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with meaningful impact.
This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, coaching teams, and partnering across the organization to turn strategy into results.
What You’ll Do
- Lead delivery of multiple technology projects from planning through launch and production.
- Provide strategic direction, coaching, and hands‑on support to Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners.
- Ensure projects follow company project management standards and best practices.
- Partner with the PMO to align priorities, resources, and budgets with the Technology Roadmap.
- Identify, escalate, and resolve delivery risks, dependencies, and major blockers.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and manage external vendor partnerships.
- Ensure clear, consistent communication and project status reporting to leadership.
- Drive high‑quality execution so projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

What You Bring
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Proven experience delivering complex, technology‑driven projects or programs.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies, change management, and business processes.
- Comfort working across technical and non‑technical teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
- Project management certifications such as PMP, PgMP, or CSM .
