Staff Accountant

Four Stars Auto Group is hiring, and we are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team! This role supports dealership operations through a combination of general accounting responsibilities and vehicle title processing. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and effective communication across departments.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday: 8-5 pm

Pay Range:

$18-$20/hour, dependent on experience

Responsibilities:

Assist with general accounting duties, dealer trades, inventory stock in, and payables.

Assist the Title Administrator with preparing and submitting all title work relating to retail and wholesale deals via WebDealer.

Assist with processing out-of-state transactions.

Calculate sales taxes, title transfer fees, registration fees, and all other applicable governmental fees.

Identifies any missing or incorrect title documents, communicates with Sales and F&I managers, and follows up on missing paperwork.

Ensure all title work is submitted to DMV offices within required deadlines.

Reconciling accounting schedules, issue title work refund checks to customers as needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required

Bookkeeping/Accounting experience is required.

1 year or more of experience in automotive dealerships would be a plus.

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel. CDK experience is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Professional appearance and strong work ethic

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Current, valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)

All potential employees must pass pre-employment testing, which includes a background check and drug screen.
