Accounting and Finance
The Accounting and Finance Specialist based at DFW International Airport hold a vital and key position in monitoring, controlling and verifying the accuracy of financial documents as well as proper working procedures. This role includes working with all internal departments like accounting, marketing, and others while partnering with external partners and the government department to control financial activities and provide suggestions on the same. Along with other co-accounting and finance activities, the Accounting and Finance Specialist is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, auditing, and financial analysis to ensure proper distribution and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide insights into the airport's financial performance, trends, and variances.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support decision-making processes, investment evaluations, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Coordinate and facilitate the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, including revenue recognition, expense allocations, and capital expenditures.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during annual audits, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and addressing any audit findings or recommendations.
- Maintain and update financial systems, databases, and documentation to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and security.
- Provide financial guidance, support, and training to internal stakeholders, including department managers, project teams, and administrative staff, to enhance financial literacy and accountability.
- Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and best practices, attending training sessions, seminars, and conferences to enhance knowledge and skills in accounting and finance.
- Assist in special projects, initiatives, and ad-hoc analyzes as assigned by management, contributing to continuous improvement efforts and organizational effectiveness.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or other relevant certifications preferred.
- Experience in accounting and finance roles, with hands-on experience in financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and auditing.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and regulatory requirements applicable to airport operations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data, prepare clear and concise reports, and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
- Commitment to integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality in handling financial information and transactions, with a focus on compliance and internal controls.

Pay: $80,238.00 - $85,238.00 per year
