Position Summary

AlpHa Measurement Solutions is experiencing aggressive growth through a global platform consolidation and recognizes a need to continuously strengthen its Accounting & Finance capabilities to meet increased demand and support continued growth. We are establishing an Bookkeeper role to contribute meaningfully to our Accounting Department.

Our privately held company has over 100 years of liquid sensing experience, is growing, and currently employs 230 team members in Houston Texas and 115 in Shanghai China. Our global headquarters is conveniently located in Houston at the southwest intersection of I-69 and Sam Houston Tollway, just north of Sugar Land.

Classification: Salary, Exempt, Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and as required to maintain business momentum.

The ideal candidate will support accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, and ensure compliance with company policies. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills with a keen eye for accuracy.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Accurately process accounts receivable / accounts payable transactions
• Assist in preparing financial reports
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
• Communicate with clients regarding financial transactions, outstanding receivables, and resolve discrepancies
• Manage financial data entry and accuracy across multiple accounts
• Process invoices and customer payments, and employee expense reimbursements
• Reconcile client accounts, bank statements, general ledger accounts, and credit card transactions
• Maintain accurate records in accounting software
• Perform other administrative and accounting tasks as needed
• Collaborate with customer service and sales team regarding collection of customer balances
• Provide general administrative support such as answering phones and welcoming visitors
• Support senior accountant as needed
• Other accounting and finance tasks as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field ( equivalent work experience accepted )

5 + years of accounting experience preferred

Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Excel, etc.)

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent organizational and communication skills
