Location: North Houston Area
Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour (based on experience) | Weekly Pay
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview
Openwork is partnering with a growing organization to hire an experienced Accounting Clerk with a strong background in Accounts Payable, billing, and Accounts Receivable . This role is critical to maintaining accurate financial records, managing vendor and customer accounts, and ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process high-volume invoices and enter bills accurately into accounting systems (QuickBooks preferred).
• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable , including vendor communications, statements, and payments.
• Handle billing functions , including invoice generation, tracking, and follow-up.
• Support Accounts Receivable , including collections and payment posting.
• Print and distribute checks and manage recurring payments.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and account issues.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
• Provide general administrative and accounting support.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of recent, hands-on experience in Accounts Payable, billing, and Accounts Receivable required.
• Strong understanding of invoicing, collections, and payment cycles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (QuickBooks preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills and ability to manage vendor and customer relationships.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Work Environment:

• Professional office setting.
• Primarily sedentary role with extended computer use.
• Occasional lifting up to 15 lbs.
