Your New Role
As an Electrical Project Manager at Petri Electric, you’ll oversee electrical construction projects from pre-construction through close-out. Based in Richardson, TX , you’ll coordinate project strategy, align with field and office teams, track budgets, negotiate with vendors, and ensure every job hits quality and timeline standards.
You’ll be responsible for:
Building and maintaining detailed construction schedules for electrical work
Leading project kickoff strategies and operational plans
Managing material orders, permits, and vendor contracts
Overseeing field execution and project budget performance
Directing submittals, billings, and documentation throughout the project
Conducting job site visits to ensure safety, code compliance, and excellence
Closing out projects with documentation, commissioning, and client training
Leading and mentoring your project team and developing future leaders

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience managing electrical construction projects from pre-construction to close-out
Strong command of NEC code and local/state permitting requirements
Proficiency with project management software like Procore, ConEst, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel
PMP certification or similar is a plus
Strong ability to interpret electrical plans, answer RFIs, and guide field execution
Excellent communication, leadership, budgeting, and negotiation skills
Ability to mentor, delegate, and develop project engineers and assistants
