SUMMARY: The Accounts Payable Processor is responsible for accurately processing vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining organized financial records. This role involves verifying purchase orders, reconciling statements, resolving discrepancies, and supporting the company’s expense and payment processes in accordance with internal policies and accounting standards. This position reports to the Assistant Corporate Controller.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform their primary duties.
- Match invoices to receiving documents
- Post invoices into the computer system
- Generate accounts payable and refund checks
- Research vendor statements, phone calls and discrepancies
- Organize and match returns paperwork
- Work with other departments and suppliers to resolve invoice issues
- Receptionist relief as required
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and/or abilities required for this role.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Related college coursework is a plus
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of three years’ accounts payable experience
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Ability to process large volume of work while maintaining strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to work in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills, including verbal, electronic, and written communications.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Advanced data entry ability using keyboard and 10 key.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Basic capability to operate Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to work in an ERP or EBS business system computing environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some movement from area to area.
WORK ENVIRONMENT : While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to a general office environment. Work outside normal business hours may be required.
