Sr. Accountant/Asst. Controller in commercial real estate – in office 
Direct Hire; up to 100K + bonus 
Northwest Houston

Duties: 

•    Work closely with Controller, Property Accountant, Managing Partners, and Director of Property management; support and oversee Property Accountant(s)
•    Manage monthly closing of non-property entity books with excellence, achieving accuracy and timely reporting
•    Assist in monthly review of property level books
•    Handle Quarterly Debt and REIT compliance testing and reporting
•    Assist in the diligence process for new property acquisitions and underwriting
•    Work with Controller to develop and maintain property and corporate budgets and forecasts utilizing automation and focused on accuracy and timeliness
•    Assist Controller with annual audit(s) and tax compliance within deadlines and on budget
•    Help create systems allowing for more efficient processed in monthly and quarterly reporting to all stakeholders

Qualifications: 

•    2-5 years’ accounting experience, public accounting or real estate experience
•    Strong Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel with modeling); MRI or Yardi accounting software; technology savvy 
•    Intelligent, energetic, with a professional drive; collaborative team player; self-motivated with a high degree of integrity; excellent communication  
•    Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and attention to detail; accuracy, efficiency, and ability to meet deadlines
•    Demonstrate a selfless and joyful attitude that builds chemistry through the company
