Job Description

As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for installing truck bodies, including service, stake, and dump bodies. You will also mount commercial accessories such as hitches, ladder racks, shelves, drawers, and mud flaps. The role requires performing basic welding on metal and aluminum components, completing electrical wiring, and building/interpreting schematics. You will assist with hydraulic systems and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues, all while adhering to shop safety rules and training alongside mechanics as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install truck bodies including service, stake, and dump bodies.
• Mount commercial accessories such as hitches, ladder racks, shelves, drawers, and mud flaps.
• Perform basic welding on metal and aluminum components.
• Complete electrical wiring and build/interpret schematics.
• Assist with hydraulic systems and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues.
• Follow shop safety rules and train alongside mechanics as needed.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in assembly and use of hand tools.
• Experience with production, blueprint reading, and mechanical assembly.
• Ability to use power tools, interpret schematics, and complete wiring tasks.
• Mechanical aptitude and electrical assembly skills.
• Experience with welding and weld processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to cut, grind, and shape metal components for custom installs.
• Experience fitting, aligning, and securing parts to manufacturer specifications.
• Skilled at verifying fit, finish, wiring, and hydraulic function before delivery.

Work Environment

Work in a non-climate controlled shop, focusing on mechanical assembly using various tools and equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arlington, TX.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Arlington,TX.
