**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Gas Plant Accounting Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the allocation of gas plant products, volumes, and values, as well as the accounting and reporting of financial information related to our gas plant activities. You will collaborate with various teams, including operations, marketing, and external customers, to ensure accurate and timely outputs while meeting organizational goals in a cost-effective manner.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform monthly plant volume allocations and generate customer invoices and reports.
- Monitor producer volume commitments and address any shortfalls.
- Maintain strong customer relations by promptly addressing inquiries and providing accurate information.
- Collaborate with commercial and field operations to understand gas processing contracts and processes.
- Respond to audit queries as needed.
- Work closely with Gas Plant Operations, Commercial, and Gas Measurement teams to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Adhere to SOX documentation and compliance with established processes.

**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
- 2-3+ years of experience in a plant accounting role or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of oil & gas operations or the energy sector is a plus, along with a strong understanding of accounting and reporting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively with all levels of staff and external consultants.
- Willingness to work overtime during peak workload periods and identify opportunities for process improvements.

**Working Conditions:**
- Office setting with the ability to sit for extended periods and view a computer screen for long durations.
- Manual dexterity for operating office equipment.
