Mayvenn is a leading tech-based beauty product and service platform specializing in high-quality hair extensions. Based in Oakland, CA, we are the premier nationwide online-to-offline salon services brand. Mayvenn is partnering with Walmart to launch our first retail experience location, which has the opportunity to expand nationwide.
The Opportunity
As a Mayvenn Beauty Expert, you'll be the first point of contact for our guests and will set and exceed their expectations for their end-to-end Mayvenn experience. As the initial face of the Mayvenn brand, you'll have the opportunity to put your passion for beauty on full display while ensuring everything in the store is clean, organized, fully stocked, and ready to wow our guests. You will provide friendly and knowable hair and salon services advice, as well in-store consultations for customers.
We are currently hiring for the following locations in the Dallas Market:
- Mansfield Store: 930 N Walnut Creek Dr Ste 800 Mansfield, TX 76063
- Montfort Store: 15220 Montfort Rd. Dallas, TX 75248
- Grand Prairie Store: 2650 State Hwy 161 Grand Prairie, TX 75052
What You'll Do
- Promptly acknowledge and warmly greet each guest entering the store
- Offer friendly and knowledgeable customer consultations; determine each guest's needs and answer questions concerning products and services
- Recommend complementary products and/or services based on guest interests or items already selected for purchase, Inform guests of current promotions, events, and services offered within the store
- Serve multiple guests at one time while maintaining composure during busy or peak selling times
- Help spread brand awareness and help drive customers to our store. This may require you to distribute marketing materials in Walmart.
- Accurately handle sales, refunds, and exchanges and educating customers on our Mayvenn 30-Day Guarantee policy
- Set up advertising displays and/or arrange merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events
- Ensure the store is replenished throughout the day
- Maintain a professional and clear display of merchandise (may require light styling, combing/brushing the hair, and swapping out merchandise based on managers discretion)
- Stay informed regarding new or existing products (e.g., their benefits and tips and tricks) to better serve guests
- Opportunity to earn commission by providing in store services (ie: lace customization, adding additional headband etc). Skills test required.
We'd love to hear from you if…
- You have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- You have 2+ years of sales and retail experience working in a sales-oriented business
- Have reliable transportation and have no attendance issues
- You're passionate about helping people look and feel their best
- You truly have a passion for beauty
- You are customer service centered - you possess an innate desire to deliver a best-in-class experience to clients
- You have the ability to communicate on a consultative level as a subject matter expert
- You have strong attention to detail
- You demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
- You listen effectively and show respect for others' opinions
- You demonstrate the core values of authenticity and respect
- You're flexible on working weekends and holidays
Bonus points if you…
- Have previous hair knowledge and/or training
- Have beauty industry experience
- Are bilingual (Spanish speaker preferred)
- Have “Street Team” marketing experience
