University Medicine Associates (UMA) is a mission-driven, non-profit, multi-specialty group associated with University Health in San Antonio, Texas. UMA comprises 800 (and growing!) providers who offer more than 32 different types of primary care and specialty services across San Antonio.

We offer comprehensive pediatric services, from primary care to advanced specialized care for the most complex diseases, and with access to our new state-of-the-art Women’s and Children’s hospital. The University Health Women’s and Children’s hospital is home to the only Level 1 pediatric trauma and burn center in South Texas.

Practice Details:

1. Outpatient practice plus some inpatient call responsibility
2. Currently, there are 5 days of call per month
3. Average of 20 patients per day in the clinic
4. Surgeries are conducted in a child-friendly ASC (lower acuity) and Women’s and Children’s hospital (complex cases)
5. Audiology and APP support
6. Access to the full spectrum of pediatric subspecialist
7. Large primary care referral base
8. Collaboration with academic partners
9. Beautiful outpatient clinic located within a large, upscale residential area
10. Serve Commercial, Medicaid and CHIP populations
11. Epic EMR with AI documentation capabilities across the inpatient and outpatient settings
12. Cardiac program with a strong PICU, PCCU and NICU
13. Interdisciplinary clinics include a vascular anomalies' clinic, an accredited cranial facial clinic and a pending aero-digestive clinic
14. Video Laryngology, several new Ear Microscopes, Camera, Ultrasound, Botox intervention supported
