Senior Litigation Attorney

High-profile, Texas based law firm that provides clients with outstanding representation in litigation is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney with Truck/Transportation Defense experience. Defense is their focus.

In defending a case, they closely work with their clients to gather all relevant facts and plan the best strategy for the situation. The firm listens to their client's needs and takes the time to make sure they understand their alternatives. When litigation is not the most advantageous course of action, their attorneys have the experience to explain the pros and cons of alternative options, including early settlement talks and alternative dispute resolution. If settlement is the most economical solution, their team will negotiate the best possible terms. Whatever the case, their focus is on doing what is right for their clients! Their record of success includes transportation, general liability, premises liability, on-the-job injury, medical malpractice, general litigation, and commercial litigation.

Ideal candidate is a self-starter and team player with a positive attitude and a good work ethic who demonstrates maturity and good decision-making skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:

-90% is truck/transportation defense

-Must be able to handle all aspects of litigation defense docket from onset to conclusion

-Excellent drafting skills with pleadings, motions, drafting and responding to discovery in state and federal court

-Experience with conducting numerous depositions of fact and expert witnesses

-Handle witness preparation for hearings and trials

-Trial preparation including the assembly of exhibits, witness binders, and appendices for depositions and court filings

-Summarizing deposition and trial transcripts and exhibits

-Demonstrated ability to work with clients who demand excellence and be able to meet their expectations is also key

Qualifications:

-5-10 years litigation experience in truck/transportation defense

-J.D. from an accredited law school and license to practice in Texas

-Strong written and verbal communication skills are a necessity

-Experience in analyzing, reviewing, editing, and drafting legal documents

-Strong litigation skills within a law firm

The firm provides a comprehensive benefit package (paid parking, 170/month billables, 2 bonuses per year, etc. ) along with competitive compensation. This is a hybrid position (3-onsite and 2 remote) after the first 3 months in office!

The firm also offers a year end bonus in 2023 depending upon the experience/qualifications of the candidate!
