Regional Office Assistant
The Northeast Texas Region is looking for an organized self-starter to provide administrative support to the region, enabling it to function in an organized and efficient manner. The Northeast Texas Region includes 30 areas with 100 staff members. The part time Regional Office Assistant will work closely with the regional team. The right candidate will be deeply committed to personal spiritual depth with a culture of belonging and collaboration.
Essential Duties :
Heart for Christ & Kids
- Demonstrate and cultivate a growing personal relationship with Jesus
- Actively participate in the spiritual life of the Young Life community
- Seek and maintain relationships and disciplines, in the context of active participation in a church community
Written and Verbal Communication
- General office support (phones, correspondence, and mailings)
- Respond to voicemail, e-mail and phone calls in a timely and professional manner
- Interact with Regional Director, Regional Administrator, Regional Development Coordinator, Dallas Metro board, area staff, and various volunteers within region
- Website maintenance
- Maintain newsletter to Regional List (staff, volunteers, committee, donors)
- Create and/or maintain Regional social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram)
- Process donations
Administration
- Schedule and calendar meetings between individuals and small groups, both internally and externally for Regional Director and Regional Development Coordinator
- Maintain newsletter recipient list
- Help create & execute Regional Donor Mailings
- Update contacts in YL Connect
- Coordinate and schedule hospitality needs for internal & external meetings (staff, ADs, Dallas Metro Board, Regional Team, general office)
- Help plan & execute gifts & delivery (donor gifts, staff assignment gifts (throughout summer), event swag (staff retreats, holidays, golf tournament), VIP office visitor gifts (have on hand)
- Milestone celebrations: Collect info, manage, and coordinate celebrations of birthdays, anniversaries, births, deaths for staff, donors, VIPs
- Event management assistance
- Run and organize donor reports
- Assist areas as needed
- other duties as assigned
Education:
- High school education or equivalent.
- Associate's degree preferred.
Qualifications Required for the Job:
- Administrative experience preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (which includes Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong written, grammar, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Basic accounting skills.
- Must be detail-oriented while successfully accomplishing multi-tasks.
- Proven relational skills with adults.
- Previous involvement with Young Life preferred.
- Must be capable of lifting 25-50 lbs, standing for extended periods of time, kneeling/bending for event setup, etc.
Specific Working Conditions:
- In-office position with the potential of some remote work
- Must be able to be in office Tuesday mornings
