Position: Transportation Operations Manager – Houston, TX

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Transportation Operations Manager to oversee our Houston operations. Supporting the VP of Operations, this role is perfect for a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a drive for operational excellence in the transportation sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the VP of Operations with managing daily transportation activities.
• Oversee fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, scheduling, and dispatch coordination.
• Develop, implement, and enforce operational policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
• Analyze performance metrics and lead continuous improvement efforts.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team in a collaborative environment.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize vehicle repairs, both in-house and external.
• Conduct daily audits and maintain accurate vehicle inventory records.
• Manage the onboarding and decommissioning of fleet vehicles.
• Partner with Driver Services and Safety teams to ensure compliance with driver, vehicle, and drug & alcohol programs.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in transportation or fleet operations management.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in transportation management systems and operational tools.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• In-depth understanding of transportation regulations and compliance standards.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License required.
