Full Stack AI Developer

Job Description:

The Full Stack Developer will design, build, and deploy AI-driven solutions to automate critical business processes for our home health organization. This role combines software engineering expertise with applied AI skills to create scalable, secure, and intuitive applications that improve operational efficiency and patient outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

• AI-Enabled Application Development
• Design and implement production-grade AI capabilities (RAG, NLP, predictive analytics, extraction, ML) into business workflows across aspects of the business.
• Evaluate and integrate third-party AI services (Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, etc) with a focus on reliability, security, privacy, and cost control.
• Full Stack Engineering
• Build and maintain applications using TypeScript/Javascript and Python across frontend, backend, and integration layers.
• Automate critical processes leveraging business platforms (Salesforce.com, UKG), integration platforms (Workato, n8n, Airbyte), back-end technologies (Node.js, Python), cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and AI/ML frameworks (OpenAI, Anthropic).
• Actively reduce operational risk and technical debt
• Implement authentication, authorization, and data access patterns that are suitable for PHI.
• Data Management and Compliance
• Work with structured and unstructured data from EHR, CRM, HCM, ERP, and analytics systems.
• Design with HIPAA, security, and internal governance standards considered from the beginning.
• Optimize applications for performance, resiliency, and scalability in an Azure cloud infrastructure
• Collaboration and Leadership
• Partner with business leaders, analysts, and IT peers to identify, design, and implement high-impact solutions
• Provide technical guidance for engineering best practices across the applications team
• Clearly communicate tradeoffs, risks, and timelines to non-technical stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years in full stack development.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, SQL.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with HIPAA-compliant systems and PHI handling.
• Experience with Salesforce.com development (APEX, Flows)
• Integration platform expertise (Workato, Airbyte).
• Applied AI for workflow automation, including RAG.
• Cloud & DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD.
• Data engineering foundations (ETL/ELT pipelines, Airflow).
• Microsoft Power Platform experience.
