Experienced Server

Tomalo is a worldly Mexican inspired restaurant, created by Urbanspace, that draws influences from various regions of Mexico and beyond. Tomalo anchors the ground level of the 44 East Ave. Residences, the skyscraper on the banks of Lady Bird Lake where East Ave meets Rainey St. We are looking for an experienced server to join our team.

We are seeking creative and energetic candidates who share our devotion to ingredients sourced from small communities throughout Mexico. We believe in creating a team that embodies and practices honest and thoughtful communication. We have invested great care into a training program with clear expectations and guided by a leadership team committed to the growth of every staff member. We believe in support and community.

What we ask:

• Minimum 2 years experience in high volume or fine dining restaurants
  

• Natural customer service skills and a genuine desire to provide hospitality to every Tomalo guest through consistent service standards and compelling storytelling
  

• Strong verbal communication skills, enthusiastic, graceful and confident demeanor
  

• Detail-oriented, organized, methodical and strong time management skills
  

• A sense of curiosity and willingness to grow their already established food, wine, beer, and spirit knowledge
  

• Ability to work for 6+ hours of active service
  

• An ability to receive constructive feedback from management and co-workers
  

• Open availability (including weekends) and reliable transportation to and from work
  

• Prior experience with Toast, Hotschedules and Resy is a plus
  

• Bilingual is a plus
  

• Mindful and respectful of kitchen etiquette, team oriented
  

• Food Handlers registered with the COA and TABC Certifications
