Associate Veterinarian – O’Connor Road Animal Hospital | San Antonio, TX

O’Connor Road Animal Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Veterinarian to join our established small animal practice in San Antonio, TX. This is a great opportunity for a veterinarian who is comfortable practicing with independence, has an interest in soft tissue surgery, and is looking for a consistent caseload in a well-equipped, modern, and beautiful hospital.
We are a busy, full-service hospital providing primary care, surgery, and limited urgent care. Our team is focused on delivering quality medicine and maintaining efficient workflows in a fast-paced environment. Our hospital is led by an experienced, friendly, and engaged Hospital Manager dedicated to supporting the team and driving a positive, well-run practice environment.
About Our Hospital:
- 7 exam rooms, dedicated surgery suite, treatment and isolation areas
- Full dental suite with digital dental radiography
- In-house diagnostics (Idexx Catalyst & ProCyte, SNAP testing)
- Digital radiography and ultrasound capabilities
- Modern anesthesia and patient monitoring (ECG, BP, capnography, pulse ox)
- Established relationships for advanced surgical procedures
- Avimark practice management software
- High-volume practice with an established client base
About Your Role:
- Manage a consistent small animal caseload with a high degree of autonomy
- Perform wellness, sick visits, and general surgical procedures
- Build and maintain client relationships through clear communication and education
- Opportunity to pursue surgical interests, particularly soft tissue procedures (highly preferred)
- Flexible scheduling options with rotating half Saturdays
- No on-call or overnight emergency responsibilities, no Sundays
