We are seeking an experienced SRE/DevOps Software Engineer to join our team in Austin, TX. This individual will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining highly scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure in AWS, with a strong emphasis on automation, observability, and security. Candidates must be local to the Austin area and available for W2 employment only.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Infrastructure Design & Management:
  Architect, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure solutions on AWS using services like EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, EKS, and ECS.

• Container Orchestration:
  Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes (EKS) and ECS.

• Infrastructure as Code:
  Automate provisioning and configuration management with Terraform, Jenkins, and Spinnaker to support efficient, reproducible deployments.

• Monitoring & Observability:
  Implement comprehensive logging, tracing, and monitoring using OpenTelemetry (preferred), ELK Stack, Splunk, Dynatrace, and AWS CloudWatch.

• Scripting & Automation:
  Write and maintain scripts in Python, Bash, or Go. Develop backend or automation tools using at least one programming language, preferably Python or Java/Spring Boot.

• CI/CD Pipeline Management:
  Build and manage robust CI/CD pipelines to accelerate development cycles and ensure smooth deployment processes.

• Operational Excellence:
  Work closely with feature development teams to ensure the smooth operation of applications, manage third-party installations, and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.

• DevOps Best Practices:
  Promote and implement DevOps practices such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test-Driven Development, cloud-native development, application resiliency, and infrastructure security.

• 8+ years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role.

  1. Deep hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.

  2. Proficiency with containerization tools and orchestration (EKS, ECS, Kubernetes).

  3. Strong skills in infrastructure automation and IaC using Terraform, Jenkins, Spinnaker.

  4. Expertise in monitoring/logging tools (e.g., OpenTelemetry, ELK, Splunk, Dynatrace, CloudWatch).

  5. Proficient in scripting and programming (Python, Bash, Go, Java/Spring Boot).

  6. In-depth knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline management.

  7. Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
