Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Austin, TX 78704 – Enjoy Texas healthcare opportunities in a city famous for live music, outdoor recreation, and a welcoming community.
- Healthcare Setting: Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) / Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Start Date: September 8, 2025
- End Date: December 8, 2025
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1460 - $1500
- Active RN license (Texas or compact state preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac stepdown, IMC, or PCU nursing jobs
- Proficient in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
- Experience with potent non-titratable drips
- Skilled in caring for respiratory patients (tracheostomies, BiPAP, Airvo)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a positive attitude
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding promptly to changes in patient conditions
- Administer and monitor potent non-titratable drips for cardiac patients
- Provide respiratory care for patients with tracheostomies and those on BiPAP or Airvo
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
- Float as needed to Telemetry and TCU stepdown units
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and dress code (navy scrubs)
