Work hours: Full Time/Days; (6:30A-3:00P); Monday-Friday; CVOR call required

Qualifications
Here's What You Need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before September 1, 2009, required or
- Other Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, vocational nurse program or graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology.
- Other Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program or graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology preferred.
- 2 years of experience in a surgical service specialty (robotics, cardiovascular/hearts, orthopedic, neurology) with a minimum of 150 cases performed in that specialty required.
- 2 years of recent CVOR experience highly preferred
- CST Certified Surgical Technologist/ CST (MBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) upon hire required or
- CST Certified Surgical Technologist CST (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) and was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before September 1, 2009, upon hire required or
- CST Certified Surgical Technologist CST (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) and was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before September 1, 2009, upon hire required or
- LVN Licensed Vocational Nurse upon hire required
- BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly upon hire required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively and professionally across disciplines. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. A high degree of confidentiality with the ability to function in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple demands as well as respond to rapidly changing priorities. Service orientation and demonstrated ability to respond to the needs and emotions of people under stress.
What You Will Do:
- Preoperatively assist R.N. circulator in formulating a plan of care.
- Prepare and organize the operating room.
- Assist in providing peri-operative care for a patient population that includes infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
- Assist as needed in coordinating patient care peri-operatively.
- Assume responsibility and accountability for behavior to maintain standards for professional nursing practice.
- Post-operatively follow proper procedures for the care of instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Under supervision, assist RN circulators with post-operative duties.
