Job Summary
SST seeks a Tax Associate in the Dallas area.
Tax Associates will work with small and large companies in various industries individuals, trusts, partnerships, foundations, non- profits, and corporations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Preparing and reviewing estimated tax payments for individuals, trusts, and corporations.
- Preparing a and reviewing federal and state income tax returns
- Reviewing client data and books for accuracy, making adjustments as needed,
- Preparing and reviewing client financial statements including financial transaction data entry, bank account reconciliation.
- Data entry and bookkeeping.
- Client payroll services (as needed)
- Tax research
- Correspondence with current and potential clients in person and telephone, email and fax.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 1+ years of relevant experience (tax preparation and bookkeeping)
- Knowledge of applicable tax laws, regulations, and deadlines
- Proficiency with common tax preparation software, familiarity with CCH Tax Program (is a plus)
- Familiarity with the tax return submission and confirmation process, including how to navigate the IRS and other government entity online platforms
- Proficiency in all bookkeeping and payroll procedures within QuickBooks Desktop/ and QuickBooks Online (required)
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (required)
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Excellent customer service skills, including patience and flexibility
- Flexibility to act autonomously while being a team player
- Great organizational skills, including time management and strategic planning
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Must be willing to learn new skills and adapt to changes in the industry QuickBooks Online (required)

Salary Range $55,000-$70,000 (based on experience)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
