Irrigation Technician - Commercial

Southern Botanical is seeking a skilled Commercial Irrigation Technician to join our team. In this role, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial irrigation systems, including two-wire setups, across a variety of commercial properties. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, comfortable using Aspire or irrigation-related apps for tracking and documentation, and committed to delivering efficient, high-quality service.

Position Responsibilities:

• Monitor, test, and inspect new and existing irrigation systems to ensure proper performance
• Replace or repair heads, pipes, valves, and fittings as needed
• Troubleshoot issues with sprinklers, wiring, and central control systems
• Diagnose and repair two-wire systems using wire tracing tools
• Perform seasonal services such as system start-ups and winterizations
• Install timers, valves, and piping with accuracy
• Evaluate water usage and make adjustments to improve efficiency
• Accurately document and track job activity using Aspire and/or irrigation system apps
• Complete and submit daily reports and paperwork as required
• Maintain safe work practices and follow all company policies and procedures
• Support special projects or additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Valid state driver’s license. Qualified to drive company vehicles.
• 1–2 years of experience in commercial and residential irrigation system repair
• Knowledge of two-wire systems, wire tracing, and diagnostics
• Tech-savvy and comfortable using mobile apps or software (e.g., Aspire) for reporting
• Licensed Irrigator or Irrigation Technician (preferred)
• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)

Include external environment dealing with all weather and terrain exposure. Safety equipment includes, but is not limited to hard hats, gloves, earplugs, safety vest and safety glasses. This position requires the ability to work during inclement weather events.
