River Bend Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist church in the heart of growing Fulshear, Texas. We exist to glorify God by loving Him and loving others—and one of our passions is to see students and families transformed by the gospel through biblical teaching and meaningful relationships.

We are seeking a Youth Director to lead, disciple, and inspire students (grades 6–12) and their families—equipping the next generation to follow Jesus wholeheartedly. This role combines strong leadership in youth ministry with oversight of student music programming, along with practical support for facility readiness.

What You’ll Do

• Lead Youth Discipleship – Plan, organize, and teach weekly Bible studies and student worship gatherings; implement a comprehensive discipleship curriculum; mentor students; encourage and equip parents.
• Create Life-Changing Experiences – Coordinate conferences, summer camps, mission opportunities, and special events that shape students’ faith.
• Develop Volunteer Leaders – Recruit, train, and shepherd a team of volunteers to serve with excellence and care in youth ministry.
• Facilitate Student Music Ministries – Alongside our Music Minister, you’ll help with youth praise band, youth choir (MPact), and our student puppet ministry.
• Foster Community Engagement – Build relationships with schools, community organizations, and ministries like FCA to connect with students beyond church walls.
• Support Church Events Facility Care – Oversee setup/teardown for events, coordinate with vendors, and help ensure our facilities are welcoming and well-maintained.

What You Bring

• A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ evidenced by a “fruit-filled” life.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master of Divinity (or equivalent) preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in youth ministry preferred.
• Strong leadership, teaching, and organizational skills.
• Preference given to those with some musical ability and experience leading worship or directing music groups.
• Ability to recruit, equip, and shepherd volunteers.
• Skilled communicator—both with students and adults.
• Willingness to serve hands-on in ministry and facility support.
