Experienced Service Technician

Job Summary The responsibilities of an Experienced Service Technician include diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles. They will have great communication skills and collaborate with the parts department. Benefits * Competitive Pay * Medical, Vision, Dental * 401(k) Retirement Plan * Paid Vacation & Sick Leave * Flexible Working Hours Responsibilities * Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership * Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems * Test to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly * Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem * Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment * Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles * Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage * Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks * Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed Qualifications * Ford certification & previous Ford dealership experience is a plus * At least 5 years of experience as an auto technician * Technical degree/ASE certifications preferred * Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong customer service skills * Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment * Ability to identify problems quickly and adapt * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time * Clean driving record & valid driver’s license * High school diploma or GED About Us Joe Myers Ford has been Houston’s dedicated Ford dealership for over 50 years!
