About the Role
Roamly is looking for a Claims Representative who is passionate about creating fiercely loyal customers when it matters most. In this role, you will be a critical part of helping customers in need, demonstrating technical proficiency and the aptitude to handle claims from start to finish. You will help guide customers through end-to-end claims resolution while working to improve current processes and practices. Reporting Structure: This role reports directly to the Claims Supervisor.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Claims Management: Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate damage claims to reach fair and equitable settlements for all involved parties.
- Policy Interpretation: Interpret policy contracts to identify how coverage applies to particular losses and guide customers through the resolution process.
- Operational Excellence: Accurately document all key claims activities and process/index all claims-related documents.
- Asset Recovery Support: Assist the department with total loss vehicles, including monitoring salvage, obtaining forms, and processing payments.
- Innovation: Proactively assess the current state of processes and practices to drive recommendations for improvement.
- Team & Collaboration: Partner with external partners to ensure customers receive high-level, efficient, and effective service.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- 90-Day Success: Complete licensure and manage 100% of assigned claim volume independently.
- Ongoing Metric: Claims Resolution Cycle Time and Timely Communication.
- Growth Goal: Collaborate with the Claims Supervisor to identify one workflow inefficiency and implement a process improvement to reduce claim-resolution cycle time.
Who You Are (Candidate Profile)
- Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience: 2-5 years of auto claims experience.
- Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience: California claims experience and experience within a P2P or Marketplace environment is highly preferred.
- Logistics Thinker: You thrive on managing relationships with internal and external customers while making complex claims transactions seamless.
- Execution-Minded: You are self-managed, highly motivated, and able to work well under deadlines in a high-paced, changing environment.
- Problem Solver: You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in basic computer skills and the ability to obtain appropriate insurance licenses upon hire.
