Operating at the intersection of materials management and project execution, the Director of Material Control ensures seamless integration between procurement planning, vendor selection, supply chain execution, and field operations. This position directly contributes to Worley's ambition to derive a majority of revenue from sustainability-related projects by helping deliver efficient, compliant, and transparent materials operations across the business.

  • Partner closely with engineering, project management, logistics, and construction teams to align procurement and materials timelines with overall project schedules.
  • Mentor and develop materials management professionals across multiple disciplines, cultivating a high-performance, collaborative culture.
  • Drive continuous improvement in systems, tools, and processes; contribute to the development and implementation of new technologies and methodologies.

    • Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and procurement disciplines across complex global or regional project portfolios.
    • Expertise in sourcing, negotiation, vendor qualification, and contract management, with a deep understanding of commercial and legal frameworks.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic procurement and materials control plans and guide tactical execution across departments.
    • Advanced knowledge of digital systems, enterprise platforms (ERP), procurement databases, and project tracking tools.
    • Strong decision-making capabilities for long-range planning and day-to-day tactical management of evolving project needs.
    • Experience in establishing and guiding policies and frameworks that influence project or regional operations.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, presenting complex information to senior leadership, external partners, and multidisciplinary teams.
