Plumber
We are seeking a skilled and licensed plumber to join our team. The Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This position requires compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, repair, maintain, and service plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, sewer, gas, and vent systems.
- Assemble and install plumbing according to plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Diagnose plumbing system issues and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, codes, schedules, and manuals.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal plumbing and safety regulations.
- Coordinate work activities with supervisors, project managers, contractors, and other trades.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding the scope of work, findings, and recommendations.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all job sites.
- Properly use and maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
- Report job progress, delays, safety concerns, and issues to management promptly.
- Provide professional customer service and represent the company in a manner that is consistently positive.
- Company Equipment & Vehicle Care
- Conduct and document pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections daily.
- Report mechanical issues, maintenance needs, or safety concerns promptly.
- Keep assigned vehicle clean and fueled.
- Valid Journeyman Plumber license as required by the State of Texas or applicable local authority.
- Minimum experience consistent with journeyman-level plumbing work.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, installation methods, and repair techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and codes.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, contractors, and customers.
- Be a team player.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures.
- Commercial and/or industrial plumbing experience.
- OSHA 10 safety training or certification.
- Backflow prevention experience or certification is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds , with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and job site environments.
- Work is performed at residential, commercial, and industrial job sites.
- Exposure to noise, dust, wet conditions, and construction environments.
- Use of hand tools, power tools, ladders, and plumbing equipment is required.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening.
- A background check may be required in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
- Continued employment may be subject to random or reasonable-suspicion drug testing.
