Assistant Division Manager
Alamo Concrete Products Company, ACP, is headquartered in San Antonio, TX with 8 Divisions throughout the Greater Central/South Texas Region. ACP produces and delivers concrete and operates Aggregate Quarries that supply concrete, aggregate (rock) and sand to the batch plants.
We are hiring an Assistant Division Manager to oversee and lead the Divisional operational activities for the Valley. The Assistant Division Manager partners closely with the Division Manager to drive day-to-day operational performance, uphold safety and quality standards, improve efficiency, and ensure exceptional service to our customers.
Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:- Promote a strong safety culture and minimize workplace risk.
- Oversee daily Ready-Mix operations, ensuring safety, quality, customer focus, and environmental compliance.
- Lead and manage the Ready-Mix team to achieve operational and regional performance goals.
- Develop and manage the annual operating budget in coordination with the COO.
- Drive efficiency, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build, develop, and mentor team members for future growth.
- Grow the customer base, maintain client relationships, and support sales efforts.
- Coordinate special projects, including capital expenditures (CapEx).
- Support customers with product information and mix design guidance.
- Collaborate with Accounting to resolve issues and prepare marketing activity reports.
- Ensure proper maintenance of plants and equipment.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of operation/production/sales experience in the ready mix field.
- Sales and marketing skills, including the ability to generate and convert leads.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in individual and group settings.
- Negotiation and problem resolution skills, exercising a great deal of creativity.
- Ability to build and maintain professional and client relationships.
- Good organization, follow-through, time management and territory time management skills.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other desktop programs.
- Ability to travel (day-trips and overnight), including visiting customers, plants and construction sites.
