Business Development Officer (Mortgage)

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Officer (Mortgage) to join our team in Lubbock. In this role, you will play a key role in increasing mortgage volume in the region through developing and nurturing business relationships with real estate brokers, owners, agents, builders, and other key industry contacts. This position offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solicit and cultivate business relationships to drive mortgage volume in Lubbock and surrounding areas.
- Analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and introduce new products to stay ahead of the competition.
- Educate realtors and industry professionals on relevant topics to strengthen partnerships.
- Lead and train the mortgage offsite team to achieve sales targets and exceed customer expectations.
Duties:
- Market mortgage programs to real estate professionals, builders, and members in the region.
- Conduct sales calls and visits to increase client referrals and build brand awareness.
- Monitor sales activities and provide reports to measure ROI on relationships.
- Collaborate with marketing and communication specialists to drive promotional initiatives.
- Participate in industry events and seminars to promote products and build rapport.
- Manage corporate credit card for approved expenses and budget responsibly.
- Coordinate meetings with management and provide regular updates on progress and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years of experience in real estate, mortgage lending, or related fields.
- Thorough understanding of industry regulations and market dynamics.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting business development goals.
