Who we are:

Coastal Mechanics is an Aerospace and Defense contractor engaged in several activity areas, including being a manufacturer of high-precision Aviation and Military custom components, and provider of aerospace and defense logistics management services such as MRO services and repair management. We are currently seeking a highly organized Program Manager who is willing and ready to be a hard-working team player in a rapidly growing company.

The person we are looking for:

Serve as a client-facing company representative on capture and contracts issues with the US Government (DLA, Army, Navy, Air Force, etc) where necessary, and the primary POC for USG contract administration, bid, capture, Source Approval, and other matters related to Business Development with the federal government. Directly reports to the business unit general manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· On-Site role at MRO facility designed to support all capture, business development, contracts, bidding and capability development for Coastal Mechanics Repair Shop.

· Assist the business unit overall as far as reasonably possible with electronics operations needs and support daily operations on the shop floor with advice, guidance and best practices, including covering the provisioning and development of new orders and process improvements for existing orders.

· Serve as a client-facing company representative on capture and contracts issues with the US Government (DLA, Army, Navy, Air Force, etc) where necessary, and the primary POC for USG contract administration, bid, capture, Source Approval, and other matters related to Business Development with the federal government.

· Bring in new business, new contracts, new commercial and government relationships, design strategy on electronics manufacture and repair business

· Develop as reasonably possible any potential business opportunities for electronics manufacture and repair with major corporate B2B targets and customer accounts such as Aerospace and Defense Tier I's / II's.

· Develop Source Approval Request (SAR) packages for submittal based on competitive alternate sourcing mechanisms for the Federal Government (across the USG space)

· Develop electronic repair capabilities lists by platform (Aircraft, Helicopter, Weapon System) based on business targets and the overall Group of Companies' client facing profile.

· Bid and capture regular Fair and Open contract opportunities across the federal government space utilizing SAM.GOV (Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, Others), and to prospect for additional business development opportunities for electronics across the aerospace and defense sector.

· To assist in and engage with the company's efforts to possibly pursue OEM licensing, and to support other Business Development colleagues in those efforts.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Qualified candidates will have background in electronics manufacturing (specifically in aerospace and defense. We would prefer 10 to15 years of hands-on electronics manufacturing and contracting experience. US Government contract specific knowledge and familiarity a plus)
• Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving experience
• Ability to resolve work stoppages by utilizing prior experience, effective problem-solving techniques and solutions.
• Experience with developing new manufacturing and repair frozen planning and processes.
• Write and submit proposals

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent experience) required.
• Extensive and diversified background with at least 10 to 15 years of related experience in electronics manufacturing

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds at times.
