UI Developer with Accessibility testing
Job Description
We are looking for a talented Software Engineer with strong experience in Accessibility (Keyboard/VoiceOver) , Accessibility Testing , and Front-End Development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)to join our onsite team in Austin, Texas .
This role focuses on building accessible and inclusive web experiences, ensuring compliance with Apple’s accessibility standards, and collaborating with IS&T internal groups to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance front-end web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with a focus on accessibility.
- Implement accessibility features and best practices (Keyboard navigation, VoiceOver, screen reader compatibility, etc.).
- Perform Accessibility Testing and fix issues identified through audits and validation tools.
- Work closely with Apple’s internal teams to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1and Apple accessibility guidelines.
- Prepare and maintain all Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)artifacts and documentation.
- Participate in design and code reviews to ensure accessibility standards are met.
