Compensation & Schedule
• Up to $32/hr based on experience
• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Temporary (4–6 weeks)

ROLE IMPACT

This role is critical to ensuring timely, accurate payroll processing for a mixed employee population, including hourly, salaried, and tipped staff. The Payroll Specialist will play a key role in supporting finance operations by maintaining compliance with wage laws and delivering seamless payroll execution in a hospitality setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Process end-to-end weekly payroll for hourly, salaried, and tipped employees
• Validate timesheets, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure timely approvals
• Manage payroll deductions, garnishments, and adjustments
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records and data
• Generate payroll reports and summaries for finance leadership
• Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and stakeholders

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 2+ years end-to-end payroll processing in hotel or restaurant setting
• Experience with tipped employees and mixed pay types (hourly/salaried)
• Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
• Must pass drug screen and soft credit check

CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS
• Microsoft Excel
• Payroll software (unspecified – prior hotel/restaurant systems preferred)
• Timekeeping systems
• Email and digital communication platforms

PREFERRED SKILLS
• Prior experience in hospitality-focused HR or payroll roles
