Financial Services Rep 1

- Assists members with loan requests:
- Conducts loan interviews.
- Gathers and documents pertinent data necessary for underwriting.
- Cross-sells appropriate loan related products.
- Conducts loan closings for applications approved through automated process or by an authorized underwriter.
- Assists members with all aspects of Member Service, including but not limited to:
- Opening Accounts
- Servicing and closing accounts.
- Advises members regarding credit union products and services.
- Addresses and resolves member concerns (referring issues that are beyond their authority to the Branch Manager).
- Actively promotes and provides product guidance to members.
- Identifies cross-sell opportunities, successfully presenting and placing appropriate services that meet member needs in each interaction.
- Performs a variety of miscellaneous duties including typing, filing, computer input and assisting with members via telephone.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience
- Six months to two years of sales, lending, or personal banking experience preferred.
- Education
- Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED
- Skills
- A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
- Must have good communication skills. 10-key calculator, typewriter, and keyboard skills.
