Barista

Join the exciting team at the soon-to-open Swedish Hill Cafe! We're seeking passionate Barista to be a part of our downtown location located at 415 Colorado Street!

We're seeking passionate Baristas to create memorable moments for our guests by crafting exceptional beverages and serving our delicious food offerings. We value teammates who are genuinely interested in food and beverage, dedicated to providing outstanding hospitality, and ready to work hard in a team environment.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Promotes coffee consumption by educating customers; selling coffee and coffee grinding and brewing equipment, accessories, and supplies; preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks
• Prepare and serve drinks that meet quality standards
• Properly handle and maintain all equipment
• Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner
• Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings
• Observe relevant health and safety standards
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

• Interests in coffee program, must be passionate about coffee
• Active TABC certification required
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Retail, hospitality, and/or customer service experience preferred
• Strong ability to multitask
• Ability to problem solve quickly
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of being on your feet per shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
