Job Overview
We are hiring a Project Manager for a Custom Home Builder in College Station, TX to oversee the construction of high-quality, custom residential homes. This full-time, direct-hire position is ideal for an experienced construction professional who can manage timelines, budgets, subcontractors, and homeowner communication from start to finish.
The Project Manager will play a key role in delivering custom homes on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage custom home construction projects from pre-construction through final completion
Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and construction timelines
Serve as the main point of contact for homeowners throughout the build process
Schedule, manage, and supervise subcontractors and vendors
Conduct regular job site visits to ensure quality, safety, and progress
Review construction plans, specifications, and change orders
Track job costs and control budgets to maintain profitability
Identify and resolve construction issues quickly and effectively
Ensure compliance with local building codes and company standards
Complete final walkthroughs and punch lists prior to project closeout
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Construction Manager, or Superintendent in residential construction
Strong knowledge of custom home or residential construction processes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
Excellent communication skills with homeowners, subcontractors, and internal teams
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with a custom home builder or high-end residential projects
Familiarity with Bryan–College Station subcontractors, suppliers, and permitting processes
Experience using construction management or scheduling software
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive salary of $60,000–$80,000 per year, depending on experience
