Staff Accountant - Manufacturing

Staff Accountant (Onsite – Manufacturing)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations in an onsite manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts

• Perform monthly and year-end close activities

• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies

• Track and maintain records for assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses

• Support inventory accounting and cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis

• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules

• Review and approve new customer credit applications

• Assist with escalated delinquent accounts

• Help prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements

• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation

• Analyze accounting data to identify trends, variances, and errors

• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures

• Collaborate with operations and other departments to ensure accurate reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 3–5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

• 3+ years of chemical manufacturing experience required

• Strong understanding of GAAP

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
