Staff Accountant - Manufacturing

Staff Accountant (Onsite – Manufacturing)
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations in an onsite manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
Perform monthly and year-end close activities
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
Track and maintain records for assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses
Support inventory accounting and cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis
Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules
Review and approve new customer credit applications
Assist with escalated delinquent accounts
Help prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation
Analyze accounting data to identify trends, variances, and errors
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
Collaborate with operations and other departments to ensure accurate reporting
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3–5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
3+ years of chemical manufacturing experience required
Strong understanding of GAAP
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
