Position Overview

Allen Control Systems is seeking a Deployment Operations Manager to own the end-to-end logistics, inventory management, and deployment operations for our defense systems. This role is critical to ensuring our autonomous platforms reach U.S. Government and allied customers on time, compliant with all ITAR regulations, and ready for immediate field deployment. You'll build the operational infrastructure from the ground up in a fast-paced startup environment.

What You'll Do

• Manage all aspects of ITAR compliance for international and domestic shipments to U.S. Government customers
• Design and execute international logistics strategies for deploying defense hardware to allied nations and forward operating locations
• Own inventory management systems, tracking all incoming components, assembled units, and deployment-ready assets
• Establish shipping and receiving processes with full chain-of-custody documentation and real-time tracking
• Prepare and configure deployment kits, ensuring all systems, accessories, and documentation are mission-ready
• Coordinate with government contracting officers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to navigate complex regulatory requirements
• Build scalable processes and SOPs as the company grows from prototype deliveries to production-scale deployments
• Collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to align deployment timelines with production schedules

What You'll Need

• 5+ years of experience in logistics, operations, or supply chain management, preferably in defense or aerospace
• Deep understanding of ITAR regulations and experience managing controlled technology exports to U.S. Government customers
• Proven track record with international logistics , including customs, export licensing, and freight coordination
• Strong inventory management experience with ERP/MRP systems and asset tracking methodologies
• Experience with shipping/receiving operations, including carrier management and shipment tracking systems
• Hands-on experience preparing deployment kits or field-ready equipment packages
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously under tight deadlines
• Self-starter with extreme ownership mentality and ability to build processes from scratch
• Strong communication skills for interfacing with government customers, vendors, and internal teams
