Your schedule will be steady and reliable, with shifts of 6 am–3 pm, 8 am–5 pm, or 10:30 am–7:30 pm (you'll stick to one shift, not bounce around daily), plus occasional on-call needs.

WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE AS A KENNEL ASSISTANT:

You spend your day keeping the suites and kennels clean, feeding and caring for both dogs and cats, and ensuring every pet feels comfortable. While the bulk of your time is cleaning and caring for animals, you also interact with pet parents, monitor playtime, and step in to help with check-ins or checkouts. You're the steady presence that gives owners peace of mind, making sure their pets are safe, happy, and well cared for-even when it's hard work, you find joy in the little moments of tail wags, paw shakes, and happy barks.

Our requirements:

• Valid driver's license
• High school diploma or equivalency
• Exceptional communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good computer skills (MS Office, scheduling software, etc.)
• Excellent with animals and people
• Values learning, is receptive to feedback, and strives for self-improvement
• Comfortable resolving conflict and de-escalating stressful interactions
• Punctual and respectful
• High energy personality
• A desire to learn
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work with animals who are agitated and/or injured and might bite and/or scratch
• Ability to commute with reliable transportation
• Ability to work in outdoor weather and humid conditions
• Ability to keep a high level of communication regarding client satisfaction
• Ability to medicate pets, including injections
• Ability to identify and solve problems quickly
• 2+ years of pet experience is preferred
