Openwork is hiring an experienced Sheet Metal Equipment Maintenance Technician to support a busy sheet metal fabrication operation in Dallas. Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on sheet metal fabrication equipment.
• Diagnose machine issues and complete repairs to minimize downtime.
• Inspect machinery for wear, damage, or safety concerns.
• Ensure equipment meets safety standards and operational requirements.
• Maintain maintenance logs, repair records, and parts documentation.
• Organize and monitor inventory of maintenance tools and replacement parts.
• Recommend equipment upgrades or improvements when needed.
• Train production employees on basic equipment troubleshooting and safe operation.
• Work closely with supervisors and operators to support production goals.
• Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for specialized repairs or replacement parts.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or vocational maintenance training preferred.
• Minimum of 2–4 years of equipment maintenance experience required.
• Sheet metal fabrication environment experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read machinery manuals, schematics, and mechanical diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Ability to lift equipment and stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in an active manufacturing environment.
• Maintenance or safety certifications are a plus.
