Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and organized HR Coordinator to support our Human Resources team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about employee experience, engagement, and creating memorable workplace events. You’ll play a key role in supporting HR operations while fostering a positive and inclusive culture across our properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, and employee record management.
- Coordinate and execute employee engagement initiatives, including recognition programs, wellness activities, and team-building events.
- Assist staff events such as holiday parties, appreciation days, and milestone celebrations.
- Support recruitment efforts by scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and maintaining applicant tracking systems.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and hospitality industry standards.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and help resolve HR-related issues.
- Assist with training logistics and tracking employee development programs.
- Collaborate with department heads to promote a culture of inclusion, service excellence, and teamwork.
- Ability to work in any area as needed.
Qualifications
- Human Resources, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of HR experience, ideally in the hospitality, customer service industry.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic fast paced environment.
- Creative mindset with a passion for employee engagement and event planning.
Preferred Skills
- Experience coordinating HR functions for food & beverage operations, including staffing, scheduling, and compliance.
- Ability to thrive in a fully functional, fast-paced, multitasking department, with flexibility to pivot and support various HR needs as they arise.
- Proven success in planning and executing employee events and engagement programs that foster team spirit and enhance workplace culture.
- Strong understanding of hospitality labor laws, wage and hour compliance, and workplace standards.
- Bilingual skills are a plus, especially in Spanish, to support a diverse workforce and enhance communication across departments
