Rides Operator
Description
Provide guests with a safe and enjoyable experience on amusement rides. Must be courteous, careful and patient with children.
MUST BE AT LEAST 17 YEARS OF AGE, as per company policy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain ride area in a neat, clean and orderly manner.
- Must follow ride policies and procedures while operating ride.
- Must always be alert and aware of safety regulations while operating rides.
- Collect ride tickets and properly load guests securing safety straps, belts and latches as required on ride.
- Closely monitor ride and guests while ride is in motion.
- Help guests off rides after it completely comes to a stop.
- Perform other work related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Must be a minimum of 17 years old. No prior experience necessary- this is great to have on your resume!
- Complete ride training program for two weeks and pass the written test- on the job training!
- Must be available to work every weekend.
- Must be patient with children.
- Good verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual a plus! If not that's totally fine.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Great customer service skills and attention to detail needed.
- Must be able to stand for long hours, walk long distances, bend, stoop, and lift up to 35 pounds, must be able to work in the heat and the cold.
