Entry Level Manufacturing Technician

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking to hire a highly skilled Technician to join our Technical team in performing device repairs, diagnostics and maintenance duties. The Technician's responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing designated products sent in for repair; and inspecting diagnostic products received from our manufacturing plants in Japan to ensure they are ready for installation at domestic customer sites. The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

PRODUCT INSPECTION

• Prepares products appropriately and accurately and ensures the products are ready for installation at customer sites.
• Repacks and prepares products to be shipped to customers.
• Prepares shipping and receiving paperwork and product related information to ensure that deliveries and shipments are recorded/tracked properly.
• Creates Inspection Checklists accurately and submits it for approval in a timely manner per internal work procedures and FDA requirements.

PRODUCT REPAIR

• Troubleshoots and repairs designated products sent to The Colony office by customer for repair.
• Estimates labor hours, materials and cost related to troubleshooting, maintenance and repair accurately.
• Installs, upgrades, exchanges or modifies products hardware, software and associated networking features in accordance with internal work procedures.
• Prepares and repacks products to be shipped to customers appropriately and accurately.
• Ships Demo, Loaner in Field, or other products to customers when approved by managers.
• Prepares and submits for approval IDAR's, CSO's or other related documents in an accurately and timely manner based on internal work procedures and FDA requirements.
• Keeps track of parts and product inventory by following internal control procedures when using parts stored in in-house inventory storage area.

PRODUCT SUPPORT

• Travels to a customer site to resolve issues as needed.
• Performs Installation and customer support at trade shows.
• Supports customer IT networks and computer systems as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or
• Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or Equivalent combination of education and related experience
• Tech savvy with knowledge of office automation products and databases
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
• Ability to occasionally lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
