Position Summary

As a Full-Cycle Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting and financial reporting duties that support the organization’s financial health. You will work closely with the Finance Team and Executive Leadership of the business to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and efficient accounting processes. This role is ideal for an individual who will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that demands independent judgment, critical thinking, and adaptability, while rewarding patience and thoughtful problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and ensure proper approvals and coding.


• Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.


• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.


• Monitor aging reports and manage timely payments while optimizing cash flow.


• Reconcile AP sub-ledger to general ledger monthly.


• Serve as point of contact for vendors and service providers.


• Developing and implementing process improvements and automation to streamline accounts payable workflows


•  Perform daily and monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.


• Track and categorize expenses accurately, ensuring proper documentation and coding.


• Perform full cycle accounting including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closings.


• Manage and reconcile intercompany accounts and accruals.


• Maintain accurate and timely financial records in compliance with applicable standards.


• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

• Assist with onboarding of new employees and training.


• Cross train on payroll function to support when dedicated payroll resources are out of office.

Qualifications

• Degree in business or related field with a professional accounting designation preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered


• Minimum of 3–5 years of full-cycle accounting experience


• Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills


• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently as well as play a role within a cohesive team of professionals


• Extensive knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting especially as it pertains to financial performance measurement


• Experience with sales and use tax filings and other tax filings.


• Experience using accounting software and proficiency Microsoft Excel.


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate record-keeping.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


• Excellent communication and organizational skills.


• Experience in a small business or startup setting preferred.


• An effective communicator with the ability to develop positive working relationships across a multitude of business

Nice To Have

• Experience with payroll systems (Ceridian, Dayforce).


• Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum or Dynamics Business Central considered an asset.


• Familiarity with job costing, inventory, and project-based accounting.
