The Gas Spot is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead daily store operations, develop team members, and deliver an outstanding customer experience. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving sales, maintaining operational standards, and building a positive team culture.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily store operations and ensure company standards are met
• Lead, coach, and develop Assistant Managers and Store Associates
• Recruit, interview, hire, and train new team members
• Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
• Create employee schedules based on business needs
• Process payroll accurately and on time
• Analyze sales reports and key performance metrics to improve store performance
• Manage inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained store
• Handle cash, deposits, and daily financial procedures accurately
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and security procedures
• Build strong relationships with employees, customers, and vendors
• Assist customers and support the sales floor as needed
• Assist with kitchen preparation and other operational duties when necessary

Qualifications

• Previous retail management or convenience store management experience preferred
• Leadership experience with hiring, coaching, and developing employees
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to analyze reports and make sound business decisions
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Basic computer and math skills
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Open availability, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Bend, stoop, crouch, and reach while stocking merchandise and maintaining the store
• Perform repetitive hand and arm movements while stocking, cleaning, and operating equipment
• Occasionally climb ladders while stocking or performing cleaning tasks

Certifications

The following certifications are required or must be obtained after hire:

• A/B UST Certification
• Food Protection Manager Certification (requirements vary by state)
• Tobacco Certification
• Alcohol Certification
